The Palais de Tokyo is one such place which is situated at the 13 avenue du Président-Wilson in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The Palais de Tokyo was opened in May, 1937 and inaugurated by the then President Lebrun. The building is a host of various projects, creative spaces. The present museum’s exhibit space was opened to the general public in January 2002. The new architect who managed the interior designing work were architects Anne Lacaton & Jean-Philippe Vassal.
The eastern wing of the building hosts the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and the western belongs to the French state. There is a famous self-service restaurant in the Palais too which serve extraordinary food. There is a dynamic collection of architecture and the Palais has a very comtemplative environment which is unmatchable. Artists like Picasso, Leger, Braque, Dufy are represented in here. The Palais opens daily except Monday. The entry price to the Palais is 5 Euros and the nearest Metro station is Alma-Marceau or Iéna.
